KUALA LUMPUR: Police yesterday arrested three men suspected of being involved in online gambling activities at a condominium in Sentul.

Sentul District Police Chief, ACP Beh Eng Lai(pictures) said the three men, aged 19 to 54, were arrested following a raid on a condominium at noon and said the online gambling activity would earn up to RM100,000 a month.

He said the three men were supposed to be caretakers of the premises as well as ‘To Up Games’ agents at the call centre.

He added that the police also seized several computer equipment, various brands of mobile phones, computer modems, several house keys and access cards.

“All suspects are being held at Sentul District Police Headquarters for further investigation and the matter is being investigated under Section 4(1)(g) of the 1953 Act on joint gambling houses for involvement in gambling activities,” he said in a statement. yesterday.

In another development, police arrested three men, including two foreigners, aged between 25 and 40, on suspicion of being involved in illegal bitcoin mining at premises around Metro Prima Kepong here yesterday.

“As a result of the operation, the police seized 77 bitcoin machines, computer equipment, different brands of mobile phones, computer modems and several sets of keys. All suspects were remanded in custody for four days until ‘until Monday (January 17),’ he said.Bernama
