He recalled that in August 2021, the Madras High Court struck down the Tamil Nadu Gambling and Police Laws (Amendment) Act 2021, which banned online games such as rummy and online poker. challenges. The AIADMK leader gave the background to the 2021 law and said that although all lotteries were banned in 2003, young people were getting addicted to online gambling. He referred to recent advertisements in online gambling sections of the media and expressed concern at reports that young people were attracted to them.
In a series of tweets, AMMK General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran urged the government to hire those who have attended physical education classes and registered with employment exchanges for 20 years on the basis of of seniority.
