CT Lottery applauds state approval of online betting and lottery

The Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) commends Governor Ned Lamont and the Connecticut General Assembly for state approval of sports betting, online lotteries, and online gaming in Connecticut.

“Today is a big day for the state of Connecticut,” said Rob Simmelkjaer, Chairman of the Board of the Connecticut Lottery Corporation. “We are very pleased that the state legislature has approved this modernization of the Connecticut gaming landscape. I congratulate and thank Governor Lamont and his team for their leadership and vision to achieve this historic agreement and see it pass the Connecticut General Assembly. I also thank the leaders of Connecticut House and the Senate for this landmark achievement. “

The Connecticut Lottery Corporation is already engaged with potential vendors and partners with the goal of launching our sports betting platform as quickly as possible. Official responses to CLC’s sports betting tender will be expected within the next two weeks. The RFP can be viewed here: CT Lottery Official Website – Public Solicitations. The CLC will also be issuing a call for tenders for an iLottery provider in the coming days.
